Where are Sushi Dai and Daiwa Sushi?

Sushi Dai and Daiwa Sushi are both located in Toyosu Market in Tokyo.

Sushi Dai is on the 3rd floor of Block 5 (it’s the same floor as the ticket gate of Shijo-mae Station), and Daiwa Sushi is on the 1st floor of Block 5.

Toyosu Market is a huge wholesale market that is 70% bigger than the former Tsukiji Market. To make the most of your time at Toyosu Market, we suggest checking the locations of the specific places you wish to visit ahead of time. This will help ensure that you don’t waste any time during your visit.

Sushi Dai vs Daiwa Sushi

Sushi Dai and Daiwa Sushi both offer the freshest seafood that comes right out of Tokyo’s fish market. Both are very famous and popular, but there are some notable differences between the two.

Sushi Dai(寿司大)

At Sushi Dai, skilled sushi chefs make sushi in front of you. The Omakase set consists of 12 sushi that the chef decides on depending on the day’s best ingredients. They also offer a special menu for those who can’t eat seafood or raw fish. The remarkable difference between Sushi Dai and Daiwa Sushi is that you can talk with friendly chefs at Sushi Dai. If you prefer eating sushi in a lively atmosphere, Sushi Dai is the best choice for you!

Daiwa Sushi (大和寿司)

The Omakase set at Daiwa Sushi comes with 7 Nigiri sushi, rolled sushi, tamagoyaki, and miso soup. Daiwa Sushi is twice bigger as Sushi Dai and has more seats. Plus, they serve customers more quickly. The average time that customers spend at Daiwa Sushi is 15-30 minutes whereas the average time at Sushi Dai is an hour. Because of that, the waiting time at Daiwa Sushi is much shorter than at Sushi Dai,
(The waiting time for Sushi Dai is for 4-5 hours, and Daiwa Sushi is for 1-2 hours).
